Americans are appalled by the Nazi regime, “and yet in our country we have, for the most part, allowed the party of death and the court system it has produced to eliminate, since 1973, upwards of 40 million of our fellow citizens without allowing them to see the light of day,” the bishop wrote in the diocesan newspaper.“No doubt, we shall soon outstrip the Nazis in doing human beings to death,” he stated.In his Aug. 10 column, the bishop said the “seven sacraments” of secular culture—abortion, buggery, contraception, divorce, euthanasia, feminism of the radical type, and genetic experimentation and mutilation—are “a clear and present danger to our survival as a nation.” These “sacraments”, he said, “defile and debase our human nature and our human destiny.” He noted that these behaviors are promoted and defended in government by a particular political party, though he did not name the party. In particular, the bishop argued that the legalization of abortion in 1973 has led to greater violence in society. “What we have to remember is that violence breeds violence. When we tolerate unjust attacks upon the tiniest innocents among us, we habituate ourselves to violence,” he wrote.The violence of abortion coarsens people to the atrocities and loss of life around the world, he said. “How accustomed we have become to the immense loss of life in our wars throughout the world!” he wrote. “It is true what the theologians have said, that sin darkens the intellect, and weakens the will.”All Catholics have the duty to support local pro-life movements and to work for an end to the culture of death, he insisted. The bishop expressed his dismay about some of his priests and some faithful not supporting the pro-life movement.

Elementary-age students have marched in a homosexual pride event under the banner of a San Diego public school, amidst triple-X rated behavior by "gay" activists, according to a Christian blogger who reports daily to 7,000 people.
James Hartline, who issues "Action Alerts" in response to situations in the city, said he was shocked by the "immoral" actions.
"In one of the most appalling displays of gross disregard for the safety of young children, the San Diego City School system allowed a number of small children to march inside of the San Diego Gay Pride parade under the banner of one of its schools," he said.
That, despite the fact, "that these children were brought into the midst of a number of businesses promoting pornography and nearly nude men and women in graphic sexualized demonstrations."
Hartline told WorldNetDaily that he lived as a homosexual for many years, but left that lifestyle choice after becoming a Christian seven years ago. He now watches with trepidition the activities of the community where he used to live.
"We're going to be investigating what they're teaching these kids in school," he confirmed.
Hartline reported that his photographer snapped pictures of the children in the promotional event for the homosexual lifestyle, and during his investigation he found that the school district even used a similar picture to publicize its activities.
The newsletter photograph shows a group of clearly-elementary age children with some adults and a banner that reads: "San Diego Cooperative Charter School."
The school identifies those in the photograph as "families, friends and staff."
"In the photograph, one little girl can be seen holding up a shark with the letters 'Diversity' printed on it," Hartline said. "Standing in front of a taxpayer funded yellow school bus, another adult in the photo can be seen holding up a sign that reads, 'SDCCS – School With Pride.'"
"What school being funded by the taxpayers of San Diego would be so immoral as to allow small children under the official banner of the San Diego school system to march in the midst of this pornographic gay parade?" Hartline asked.
"Did the teachers miss the man who marched down the street giving out goodies while only wearing a g-string? Did they overlook the car filled with men that advertised for RentBoy, a male escort service?"
Hartline noted that just a year earlier, there was an investigation into the San Diego Gay Pride organization for allegedly employing numerous pedophiles as volunteers and staff supervisors during its annual parade and festival.
"How the teachers of an elementary school thought it was okay to march as a group under the official banner of the charter school along with children is beyond the pale of anything that the taxpayers and parents of San Diego ever envisioned when they voted to allow the establishment of the public satellite charter schools," Hartline said.
He noted that the school's website carries the slogan: "You've never seen a public school like this one!"

Stark Mad Lesbians Jump a man and nearly kill him

An oxygen tube pumping air into his lungs, the 28-year-old man allegedly beaten and stabbed in the West Village by a gang of petite lesbians described the attack yesterday from his hospital bed.
"They hated men," Wayne Buckle said from the intensive care unit of Saint Vincent's Hospital Manhattan. "I think it would have been any man and not just me."
Still shaken by Friday's terrifying assault, Buckle, an independent filmmaker from Queens, said he felt he was the victim of a bias attack.
"It was a hate crime against a straight man by a ton of lesbians," he said. "This is what the world is coming to."
Several witnesses and police sources said Buckle sparked the attack by spitting on a 19-year-old lesbian after she rejected his advances outside the IFC movie theater on Sixth Ave. near W. Third St. He also allegedly cursed the woman, Patrice Johnson, using gay slurs.
Johnson and six of her friends - all lesbians from New Jersey - pounced on Buckle at 2 a.m., whipping him with belts before Johnson stabbed him repeatedly in the belly with a 4-inch serrated steak knife, authorities said.
Buckle was bleeding badly after the attack. He suffered multiple stab wounds to his stomach, and his face was bruised.
The seven suspects were arraigned early yesterday on charges of attempted murder, assault and gang assault. They were ordered held on $50,000 cash bail or $150,000 bond.
His eyes swollen, Buckle was hooked up to a respirator yesterday. He denied that he had provoked the attack and insisted he was not homophobic.
"All I said was, 'Excuse me, how are you doing?' like a gentleman," he said. "I thought it was the natural thing to do."

While no extra safeguards are in place, U.S. law enforcement are not ignoring the possible significance of tomorrow's date, August 22, a date that marks an important historic event on the Islamic calendar.
Internet websites have been full of speculation that it could be a target date for terrorists in commemoration of the return of the 12th imam, a supposed day of reckoning for Shiites.
August 22 was rumored by intelligence experts to be a possible date that the London plotters would blow-up passenger planes headed towards the United States, though it is not known if the suspects were Shiite extremists.
This year, August 22 marks the holy day on the Islamic calendar that is the day of reckoning for Shiites. Some Shiite sects believe that August 22 could correspond to the end of the world. And just today, after much hype, Iran has announced that it will continue to develop its nuclear program. To followers of Iranian President Ahmadinejad, this is a well-timed affront to Israel, the United States and the world. The United Nations had given Iran until the end of the month to respond, but Ahmadinejad had made it clear to all Iranians and the world that he intended to respond on the eve of August 22.
Whether or not this announcement is the end of Ahmadinejad's plans for August 22, one expert says we will have to wait and watch.
"The only thing we can know is that the date was not chosen by accident," said Robert Spencer, Director of Jihadwatch.org and an adjunct fellow at the Free Congress Foundation, a conservative think tank. "It does seem very likely, very probable, that he has something major in mind, whether only a major announcement or a major attack, we will soon see."

Other techniques he uses include: having family members wear earpieces so that Rabbi Boteach can encourage positive, healthy interactions, and discourage negative, dysfunctional behaviors; and taking the family on an outdoors outing or activity.

Personally, I don't care for this guy.
He cries for attention and is in love with himself. I first learned of him when Michael Jackson was being raised on charges of molesting little children. Rabbi Shmuly is or at least was a good friend of "Jacko's". He was all over the television. He further aggravated me when he was on every channel he could possibly get his face on to cry out against Mel Gibson's movie "The Passion of the Christ". He said this movie would promote anti-semitism. He desperately tried to discredit the film before it ever opened. He seemed upset about the truth the film was going to expose. Almost rabidly fearful.

Four crosses too much to bear for sceptics

Could God be living in Chelsea? That's the question the locals are asking after a fire ripped through St Joseph's Catholic church, leaving behind some bizarre symbols.
Firefighters and demolition workers were shocked to find images of four crosses on the wall behind the church's altar.
The crosses -- two each side of the crucifix -- have many wondering whether it's a strange coincidence or an act of God.
Some parishioners are already referring to them as the "Chelsea miracle".
The blaze broke out early on Wednesday and demolition supervisor Mark Barrett first noticed the crosses later that day.
"It's a little bit freaky," he said. "I just noticed on the wall there were four metal plaques and around the plaques there were crosses surrounding them.
"It's heat deflection, I have no doubt about that, but there are other plaques around the church and there's nothing around them."
CFA fire officer Ken Evans, of Patterson River fire brigade, was also shocked when he inspected the church yesterday.
"It's very weird and spooky," he said.
Mr Evans said firefighters had commented they had never seen anything like it.
"For the smoke to form in definite shapes is very unusual," he said. "It's supernatural or something. Someone's trying to tell us something."
But Lynne Kelly, author of The Skeptics Guide to the Paranormal, said there was likely to be a more rational explanation for the crosses.
"To believe in these images having a miraculous origin, we would need to know a lot more," she said.
Police say a serial arsonist may have been responsible for the fire, which caused $450,000 damage. But the parish might be able to use its "miracle" to recoup costs.
Bizarre religious images have proved money-makers in the past.

Riyadh - Saudi authorities arrested 20 young men after raiding a suspected gay wedding in the southern town of Jizan, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.The detainees, who were among some 400 men attending "the wedding party of two men" on Tuesday, had been "emulating women," the Al-Watan paper said.In all, some 250 people were detained in the police raid on the party but the rest were later released.Police had "arrested the wanted people and released those who have nothing to do with the matter," the paper quoted a police commander as saying.Some guests were also seen chewing qat, an illegal narcotic widely used in neighbouring Yemen, on a hill above the square where the party was being held, Al-Watan said.

PFLAG is a leader in promoting the pro-homosexual agenda and legalizing homosexual marriage Ford obviously agreed with the goal of PFLAG to legalize homosexual marriage, else they would not have made the donation to help PFLAG. When Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX), an organization helping homosexuals come out of the homosexual lifestyle, asked Ford for a grant, Ford refused. In fact, in our research AFA did not find that Ford gave a donation of any amount to any organization helping those who want out of the homosexual lifestyle. Ford says they are committed to diversity, but their definition of diversity is evidently confined to supporting only pro-homosexual organizations. Ford continued their support of the homosexual lifestyle by advertising in the August, 2006 issues of both The Advocate and OUT. They placed a full page ad in OUT and two full pages in The Advocate. Ford has been supporting homosexual media with advertising for years. What kind of material is Ford supporting? Here is the front cover of The Advocate along with one of the Ford ads. The pictorial contents inside the magazines are so offensive that we could not include them in this mailing. Jenni Murray, the presenter of BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, a feminist and euthanasia advocate, said that she does not want to be “trapped” into caring for her mother who is ill with Parkinson’s disease. Murray, a member of the Order of the British Empire and a patron of the Family Planning Association, is airing her views tonight on a BBC television program called “Don’t Get Me Started.” Publicity material for the show says that Murray “plans to end her own life when she becomes a burden to those around her.” She discusses methods, including smothering with a pillow or injecting with drugs, with two friends, The network said: "Jenni is angry that, having fought so hard to become liberated and independent, women are now being trapped into caring for dependent parents." Murray complains that the law against assisted suicide is supported by a “religious minority” who hold to an outdated moral view that human life is inherently valuable and that children have a legitimate obligation to care for elderly parents. The program highlights the growth, especially in Britain, of the idea of an “obligation to die.” Most leading thinkers in the bioethics field endorse euthanasia and assisted suicide and often argue that elderly and ill patients have the obligation to end their lives to relieve pressure on families and the health care system. In 2004, Baroness Mary Warnock, Britain’s leader in bioethics, said unequivocally that the ill and elderly had an obligation to die as soon as possible so as not to burden relatives and the medical system. Baroness Warnock, called Britain's “Philosopher Queen”, said in an interview, “In other contexts sacrificing oneself for one's family would be considered good. I don't see what is so horrible about the motive of not wanting to be an increasing nuisance.” She said, “I am not ashamed to say some lives are more worth living than others.”

The laboratory we infiltrated receives babies' bodies from many such "clinics".
The containers come in all sizes. These are the largest, containing babies between 20 to 36 weeks old.
Notice the stains of evil covering the containers.
It gets no easier to look at the actual caskets of hundreds of little people conceived by God and slaughtered in direct rebellion against God's will..
Like Legalized Abortion itself, the stains of evil are horrible to behold.

In the past several days, the media has descended on Massachusetts like a flock of vultures on a wounded prey. The scenes inside and out of the Statehouse are described by many as "surreal." With the thousands of people and hundreds of cameras on Beacon Hill, the legislators say they have never seen or experienced anything like this before.
All the hoopla of course is about the latest moral assault on America - "gay" marriage.
One of the greatest battles for America's future right now is being waged in the state of Massachusetts. Four tyrannical judges, against the will of the people, have imposed “gay” marriage on the Commonwealth, effective mid May. Sides are extremely polarized as the future of America hangs in the balance. All eyes are on the Bay state as the outcome of this decision will no doubt affect and radically change our great nation forever as we know it.
Those in the pro-family movement need to stop pussy footing around and not be afraid to confront the real issue at hand. Yes, it’s about defending the sanctity of marriage – but it’s so much more. This battle is really about America embracing and accepting the practice - of homosexuality.
To observe the national media's biased, one-sided reporting on this issue is disheartening, to say the least.
My wife Irene and I both led teams at pro-marriage rallies on Sunday, February 8, 2004, in Hartford, Connecticut and Boston, Massachusetts. We were there. Yet the media's reporting was undoubtedly biased beyond belief. While watching the news broadcasts later that evening, you would think the media was at a different rally than we were.
With upwards of 6,000 people rallying in support of marriage between a man and a woman in Connecticut and literally only a handful of homosexual protestors, the media gave all of the air time to the "gay" activists and their protest. The same slant unfortunately was put on the Massachusetts rally.
Sadly, watching the cable news programs and their reporting on America's homosexual dilemma isn't any better. It just reinforces how biased the media really is.
On February 11, 2004, Bill O'Reilly, host of The O'Reilly Factor on the Fox News Channel, featured Kevin Jennings, the executive director of GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network.) Jennings, former teacher turned homosexual activist, along with a lesbian counterpart, discussed GLSEN's new pro-homosexual curriculum on marriage being marketed to children and youth in public schools all across America under the guise of "tolerance."
GLSEN's materials instruct teachers how to teach America's children that "gay” is OK. This material falsely and deceptively equates homosexuality with heterosexuality - stating we need to accept and embrace everyone for who they "really" are – whether “gay,” lesbian, bi-sexual or transgendered.
After praising his guests, Bill O'Reilly tragically bit the bait and once again displayed his personal bias, stating he supports all Americans in their "pursuit of happiness."
But what does Bill O'Reilly think one’s "pursuit of happiness" includes?
O'Reilly, watched heavily by conservatives and Christians alike, shocked much of his constituency on September 3, 2002 when he publicly announced his support of homosexual special rights in the nation's largest “gay” publication, The Advocate. His controversial interview is one he probably wishes would just go away. His sympathetic, emotionally based views on “gay” adoption and his mixed-message stance on “gay” marriage have caused great dissent among his loyalists - and no doubt cost him viewers.
On his move to the mainstream middle, as some say to draw a larger fan base, O'Reilly has simply sold out.
What Bill O’Reilly needs to realize is that he and others in the media are sending a very bad message to America and our children. Does O'Reilly actually think two men engaging in anal intercourse is something America needs to embrace, accepting this behavior as part of the homosexual's "pursuit of happiness?"
Does Mr. O'Reilly actually believe a sexual, sadistic act practiced by two lesbians or "gay" men known as "fisting" should be taught to America's teens? I don't believe he does. Unfortunately, this is exactly what was taught, among other things, during a workshop his guest's organization GLSEN co-sponsored and participated in.
The event called "Teach Out" took place in Massachusetts in March of 2000. The event, dubbed "Fistage" drew national headlines – as well as outrage.
GLSEN also provides a suggested reading list of books to America's youth – over 200 of them - many containing blatant, pornographic stories of young boys who engage in oral sex and anal intercourse with older boys, as well as lesbian sex between young girls. Most parents – and obviously O’Reilly - are in the dark on the explicit, graphic, erotic homosexual content America’s youth are reading.
Does Mr. O’Reilly know that some of these books his guests recommend such as "Heather Has Two Mommies" – suggested reading for children as young as kindergarten – are published by Alyson publishers, one of the largest publishers of adult homosexual erotica, perversion and pornography?
Linda Harvey, executive director of Mission: America, has documented several of these GLSEN resources and other troubling books in great detail.
GLSEN is also responsible for encouraging and helping students to begin GSA's or gay-straight alliances - "gay" clubs - nearly 2,000 of them - in schools all across America. These clubs meet to motivate the students to embrace and pursue their homosexual lifestyles - some even encouraging homosexual experimentation. I personally stopped one of these GSA's in Connecticut two years ago from taking their teenage club members on a "field trip" to Provincetown, Massachusetts - one of the largest homosexual sub-cultures in the north east.
Is this the message that Bill O'Reilly really wants to send to America? Are these the books he wants America's youth to read? Is this what Bill O'Reilly wants to have his child taught? Are these the kind of clubs he wants America's youth to join? Does Bill O'Reilly really look forward to the day when his child will walk down the aisle to be married till "death do us part" with the child's homosexual lover?
Bill O'Reilly, who fervently advocates for children by fighting the demeaning messages of Ludicrous, Janet Jackson, Snoop Doggy Dog, Little Kim and others, has done a lot of good for America – and he deserves a lot of credit and respect for that. However, he is being hypocritical and doing a great disservice to America by using his celebrity to endorse the homosexual lifestyle.
Homosexuality is not only harmful to homosexuals themselves, but also to children and to society. It has proven deadly for many. I know. I’ve buried numerous friends and lovers in the ground who have died from AIDS.
What’s even more troubling though is O'Reilly, who professes the Catholic faith, knows his views are in direct opposition and rebellion with the Catholic church's teaching on homosexuality. Rosie O’Donnell, a lesbian and “gay” activist, also claims to be Catholic. Many Catholics across America are outraged and are distancing themselves from these public celebrities and their "heretical" beliefs on Catholic church doctrine.
Father John Harvey, a Catholic priest from New York who heads Courage, a Catholic ministry to those who want to overcome their unwanted same-sex attractions, says people such as O'Reilly are “…in grave error and have placed themselves above the church."
The Vatican itself issued a bold statement months ago addressing politicians and public figures, stating no professing Catholic could nor should support the homosexual lifestyle, same-sex unions or "gay" adoption. Yet even from stern warnings from Rome itself - O'Reilly has dug his heels in.
Bill O'Reilly just doesn't seem to get it. He's right on so many issues, but on homosexuality he's dead wrong.
As I've said time and time again, people such as Bill O'Reilly have fallen for the "Gay Spin Zone." Their reasoning is based on emotion, not on logic. It's based on the buzz word "tolerance," not the truth. It's based on believing a misinformation campaign being waged by "gay" activists - and the media is the major conduit of this movement.
Tragically, the message Bill O'Reilly and others within the media are sending to America -- is the wrong one.
O'Reilly has had many opportunities to hear the truth about the homosexual lifestyle from many of his guests, including when I appeared on his show the day his controversial interview in The Advocate was released in 2002. Yet he didn't want to listen.
As a former homosexual, I encourage Bill O'Reilly – for once - to listen and to examine the truth about homosexuality; to put aside his presuppositions and not to go by his emotions. Real love is to tell the truth in love.
Those such as myself who take a public, principled stand against the embracing and promotion of homosexuality are the real ones at the brunt of hate, discrimination and bigotry. In the media, we are censored, mocked and ridiculed. Yet we go on and we do so for a reason – for the truth’s sake. We know the facts and the myths about the homosexual lifestyle. I've been there personally and walked a million miles in the homosexual’s shoes. I continue to speak out because I truly love the homosexual individual.
I’ve lived in a glass house, so I’ve learned not to throw stones. Today I am the heterosexual man I was created to be. I'm happily married to my wife for over 10 years and I’m the father of our two little children. My message is not one of hate - but one of hope. It is not one of discrimination - but of deliverance. A message that I perceived years ago as one of bigotry - brought me a new beginning.
This same wonderful hope awaits every homosexual man and woman - a chance to become the real men and women they were created to be.
As the issue of homosexuality continues to be at the forefront in America, the media - including Bill O'Reilly - have to be held to higher standards and called to report the issues accurately, fairly and without bias.
Fox News claims to be fair and balanced and I highly respect the network – as well as Bill O’Reilly. I believe he is a good man and wants to do the right thing. All I have though is one simple request: let America hear the truth Mr. O'Reilly about homosexuality.
Respectfully, do as you always say Bill – “We'll leave it up to the viewers... We report, you decide."

President Bush uses eminent domain to save Mount Soledad Cross

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14 — President Bush on Monday signed a law transferring a 29-foot-tall Latin cross high on a hill in San Diego to the federal government, stepping into a long-running dispute over the separation of church and state.
Mr. Bush, in the latest unusual action designed to save the Mount Soledad cross, in the La Jolla district, sided firmly with cross supporters who acknowledge that it is the pre-eminent symbol of Christianity but contend that it forms part of a secular war memorial.
An atheist, Philip K. Paulson, has fought the cross, built in 1954, for 17 years in federal and state courts. Mr. Paulson says the memorial was built only after he protested the cross and filed suit, and is a ruse to cover its intent to promote Christianity.
The legislation that Mr. Bush signed uses eminent domain to transfer the memorial land, which includes the cross and six concentric walls holding nearly 2,000 plaques honoring war veterans, from city ownership to the federal government. The private group that built the cross, the Mount Soledad Memorial Association, will continue to maintain it.

Last month the Indian Express reported that California’s Salk Institute biologist Fred Gage already has mice containing within their brains “living human neurons that help them to see, hear and think.” Gage has created the human-mouse hybrids ostensibly to help him understand motor neuron diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.Irving Weissman, director of Stanford’s Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine has also created mice with brains made up of as much as one percent human neurons. His goal is to create a mouse with a brain made entirely of human cells.

UK Schools Handing Out Morning-After Pill to Students of All Ages

Norfolk teenage pregnancy strategy unit Lead Officer Becky Oliver said the program is available to girls as young as 11. “This confidential service is available to young people in all years at the participating schools and has the full support of the schools management and governing bodies.”New rules introduced in April this year allow girls as young as 12 to be given the morning-after pill over the counter in pharmacies across the country without the knowledge of their parents.

SAYS CATHOLIC FAITH SAVED HIM FROM DEATH

Washington DC, August 10, 2006 (CNA) - Will Jimeno, whose story of survival in the 9/11 attacks is retold in the new Oliver Stone movie “World Trade Center,” said this week his Catholic faith and an unexpected vision kept him alive during the long hours in which he was trapped under the rubble of the twin towers.
“What kept me going was the faith in God that my mother instilled in me as a Catholic. And, as the last Pope (John Paul II) said, we Hispanics have very great faith,” Jimeno told the EFE news agency in one of dozens of interviews he has granted.
“World Trade Center” recounts the story of Jimeno and John McLoughlin, two New York police officers who ran into the second tower to help rescue people. When the tower collapsed, all of their fellow officers were crushed to death. Jimeno and McLoughlin managed to survive 12 hours under the rubble, unable to see one another but at least able to communicate. Only 20 people were pulled from the rubble, alive - Jimeno was number 18 and McLoughlin number 19.
“When we got to the twin towers and I saw people jumping out, I felt like my hands were tied, and that’s the worse thing that can happen to a police officer. We really wanted to help as many people as possible,” Jimeno said.
During the hours in which they remained trapped under the rubble, wondering if they would die, they relied on memories of their families and their faith to stay alive. Jimeno thought about his daughter and his wife who was seven-months pregnant at the time.
In one scene of the movie, Jimeno has a vision of Jesus who offers him a bottle of water. In an interview with Univision, he confirmed the veracity of the account.
“In the majority of interviews I have with Hispanics, they always ask me about that. But I am Catholic, my mother Emma taught me my faith and my dad, William, hard work. And the faith my mother gave me, that night I needed it, because at that moment the two buildings fell, I was burned and the revolver (of his companion) went off. I was ready to die, I made my peace with God. But God gave me the will and strength to keep fighting, because if I had not seen Jesus, I think I would be dead,” he stated.
Jimeno came to the United States from Colombia when he was two years old and says he has wanted to be a police officer since he was a young boy. He graduated from the police academy in January of 2001. Jimeno says he never imagined he would experience a tragedy like 9/11.
“For me this story belongs to us all. Not to me or to John (McLoughlin), but to all the heroes who died with us, those who came to save us, and our wives,” he added.
Now, he said, “my family is everything for me. I take my daughters to school and I take part in as many activities as possible. My family is number one. My daughters are beautiful and have so much energy. I thank God I have them every day.”

WASHINGTON - Thursday’s foiled terrorist plot to smuggle liquid-based bombs on board nearly a dozen trans-oceanic commercial airliners flying to and from the U.S. and Britain caused near-panic and gridlock in airport terminals in both nations. Suddenly alerted government and airline officials were scrambling to stop passengers from boarding with mundane items like toothpaste, suntan lotion and sodas.
The disruption, frustration, delays and inconvenience will continue for an unknown period of time because airports lack technology to sniff out separate ingredients that will create a lethal bomb when combined. The arrests made thus far by British authorities may not have captured all of the plotters, so there is still reason to fear some of the plotters will yet succeed in exploding an airliner packed with hundreds of innocents.
There is much more to be said of these matters but for now we offer two observations: First, thanks and praise for the British investigators who (with help from U.S. officials) spied out the plot and then carried off a well-coordinated series of arrests.
A key to their ability to crack the conspiracy was the ability to sneak and peek — that is, to enter suspected plotters’ homes covertly to gather information. U.S. law enforcement officials are not permitted to carry out such operations, except as provided under Section 213 of the Patriot Act. The ACLU is doing everything in its power to hamper or otherwise force the repeal of part or all of that law.
Second, scan the many news photos of the long lines of frustrated travelers Thursday, and it is impossible not to notice how few match the typical terrorist profile — natives of or descended from families that came from or still live in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt or another Middle Eastern, Asian or African nation with a Muslim majority or significant Muslim minority.
We recognize that the vast majority of Muslims do not share the Jihadist obsessions with killing Americans, Brits and other Westerners. But there is one undeniable fact about the 1993 World Trace Center bombers, the Sept. 11 murderers, the Madrid bombers, the London subway bombers and the present liquid bomb plotters — all are clearly identifiable as being from Muslim nations. We’ve yet to see bombers who look even remotely like a gray-haired governess from Southampton, a harried middle-aged U.S. sales executive from Los Angeles or a haggard dad and mom with kids in tow returning home to Atlanta.
There is no room left for the blind politically correct procedures that ignore this reality — our enemy is nearly always a young to middle-aged man from a Muslim nation or culture, and it is madness not to focus mainly on those who most readily match the known profile. If preventing another Sept. 11 horror means delaying all travelers from such nations, well, then so be it.
Maybe the resulting inconvenience and discomfort will help induce officials back home to get serious about helping the U.S. and Britain stop terrorists from succeeding in their deadly aims.

South Lebanon Closed; Strikes Kill 19

TYRE, Lebanon - Israel shut down south Lebanon with a threat to blast any moving vehicles Tuesday as ground fighting intensified, airstrikes killed at least 19 civilians and Arab governments called for a full Israeli withdrawal as a condition of any cease-fire.
With U.S., French and Arab negotiators meeting into the evening at the United Nations, Israel voiced cautious interest in a Lebanese proposal to deploy 15,000 soldiers to control the ground in south Lebanon where Hezbollah has been firing missiles into Israel. But the warring sides appeared to be some distance apart on the text of a possible resolution, now not expected to come before the Security Council before Thursday.
After four weeks of fighting, nearly 800 people have died on both sides. Rescuers in Lebanon pulled 28 additional corpses from the wreckage of Monday's attacks, raising that day's toll to 77 Lebanese _ the deadliest single day of the war.

Hollywood friends defend Mel Gibson

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Several of Mel Gibson's friends say he's a "different person" when he's drinking, but they do not believe he's anti-Semitic.
Movie producer Dean Devlin said he and his wife are Jewish, and he considers Gibson -- who unleashed an anti-Jewish tirade when arrested for drunken driving July 28 -- one of his best friends in Hollywood.
"If Mel is an anti-Semite, then he spends a lot of time with us, which makes no sense," Devlin told the Los Angeles Times. He met Gibson while co-producing "The Patriot," in which Gibson starred. "But he is an alcoholic, and while that makes no excuse for what he said, because there is no excuse, I believe it was the disease speaking, not the man."
Jodie Foster said she does not believe that drunkenness excuses hurtful remarks, but doubts claims that Gibson is prejudiced against Jews.
"Is he an anti-Semite? Absolutely not," Foster told the newspaper for a story in Friday's editions. "But it's no secret that he has always fought a terrible battle with alcoholism."
Though it was widely believed that Gibson has been sober since the early '90s, some people close to him say he has been on and off the wagon for years.
"I have been with Mel when he has fallen off, and he becomes a completely different person," Devlin said. "It is pretty horrifying."
Gibson was charged this week with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Foster, who co-starred with Gibson in "Maverick," said she believed he will recover from his latest fall.
Gibson "was a shining example of how low you can go when you are young and still pull yourself up," she said. "He took his recovery very seriously, which is why I know he is strong enough to get through this now."

POPE REDOUBLES PLEAS FOR PEACE IN LEBANON

Castel Gandolfo, Aug. 07 (CWNews.com) - Pope Benedict XVI has stepped up his campaign for an end to the warfare in Lebanon.
At a public audience on Sunday, August 6, the Holy Father spoke of his "bitter frustration that thus far, the pleas for an immediate ceasefire in this martyred region have been ignored."
Pope Benedict repeated his insistence that the faithful have a moral obligation to pray "insistently" for peace in the region. "Let no on shirk his duty!" he said.
"We know quite well that peace is above all a gift of God," the Pope observed, adding that all "men of goodwill" should join in prayer for an end to the fighting. He said that he would "entrust this renewed appeal to the intercession of the most Blessed Virgin.”
The Pope made his appeal during a midday Angelus audience, held at his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo. Speaking on the feast of the Transfiguration, he said that the feast is "like an anticipation of the Paschal mystery," when through his Resurrection Jesus "overcame once and for all the power of the shadow of evil." Christians today, the Pope continued, should "bring that message of hope to the world," reminding everyone that suffering and death are not the final truths of existence, but should be "a passage toward a blessed eternity."
Pope Benedict has commented on the war in Lebanon during every public appearance he has made since the latest round of fighting began. In every case he has decried the killing of innocent civilians in both Israel and Lebanon, called urgently for a ceasefire, and instructed the faithful to join in a campaign of prayer for a lasting peace.

'They import foetuses from poverty stricken countries to treat vain Western women'
Clutching her Hermes holiday bag under her arm, Susan Barrington, a 52-year-old housewife from Buckinghamshire, can't help smiling as she leaves the exclusive clinic in London's Wimpole Street.
She has been given the final go-ahead to travel abroad for a cutting edge nonsurgical treatment that promises to make her look ten years younger.
She doesn't care if the treatment is expensive, involves babies and is so controversial that it is not allowed to be performed in this country - among her well-heeled friends, this is the ultimate new elixir of youth.
The attractive brunette has opted for a controversial stem- cell therapy where umbilical cord tissue from new-born babies will be injected into her body.
It may seem distasteful, but thousands of women have already done it and it is organised by a seemingly respectable British clinic then carried out in Rotterdam, Holland, where rules regarding stemcell therapies are not so strict.
Stem-cell therapy has been big business for beauty doctors since medics discovered the strong healing and rejuvenating potential of stem cells for medical conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. But there has also been a furious ethical debate.
In America, President Bush has denounced stem- cell therapy even for medical purposes as 'godless', vetoing any public funding, though controversially Arnold Schwarzenegger, governor of California, one of the few U.S. states to allow stem-cell research, has allocated 80 million dollars to it. Tony Blair met him only last week to support the move.
So what is it about stem cells that has set tongues wagging in the beauty world? They are the building blocks of every human body but are far more plentiful in embryos, which are still growing, human foetuses, or newborn babies, than in adults.
They are immature but powerful cells that, once extracted, can be stimulated in a laboratory to develop into any type of body cell or organ, including bone, muscle and body tissue.
When injected, these powerful cells target the organs that are not functioning at their optimum and encourage them to produce new tissue.
But scientists agree that further research is required to substantiate the claim that injecting stem cells can diminish wrinkles or reverse the signs of ageing.
In Britain, stem-cell research is governed by strict ethical considerations - it is limited to registered institutions using cells from embryos up to 14 days old or aborted foetuses donated to science.
But it has proved difficult to police clinics abroad and it is here that many people go for a range of stem-cell treatments, with a whole industry happy to cater for their needs.
Such unregulated companies have mushroomed across the globe offering 'aesthetic stem-cell therapies' at exorbitant prices to anyone willing to pay. They claim that stem cells have the ability to rejuvenate the body and renew the cells, not just to produce younger, smoother skin, but increased sex drive and energy.
'By definition, what such clinics are doing is highly experimental and risks damaging the reputation of legitimate stem-cell research we are doing to help cure illnesses,' says leading UK stem-cell researcher Colin Blakemore.
'Because so many clinics are based in tourist spots and refuse to be members of the only recognised board to regulate ethical stem-cell research - The International Stem Cell Forum - there is much room for unethical and morally dubious treatment by unqualified doctors. And if anything goes wrong afterwards, it is hushed up to prevent damage to the business.
This week, posing as a 50-year-old, I went in search of the latest anti-ageing remedies that the world's top clinics have to offer.
My investigation threw up a worrying new trade across the globe in unregulated stemcell treatments costing anywhere between £150 and £20,000. Yet hundreds of British women are visiting such clinics desperate for the new elixirs of youth.

Dead Baby Closes Florida Abortion Mill
At first glance, the headline seemed odd: “Dead Baby Found In Hialeah Abortion Clinic.” After all, aren’t abortion clinics in the business of producing dead babies? What makes this discovery newsworthy is the sordid tale of a botched abortion, a baby born alive and possibly killed after the fact, suspicion of evidence tampering, and a state that stepped in and took action to close the mill pending investigation in order to protect the public.
Unfortunately, horrific stories like this are making headlines across America with disturbing regularity. In May, Operation Rescue reported on an abortion mill in Birmingham, AL, that was closed by the state pending investigation of a botched abortion on a full term baby. That mill was later permanently closed.
In June, Operation Rescue purchased a Wichita, Kansas, abortion mill and unveiled the filthy and unsafe conditions at that facility, after helping to expose similar conditions at a now closed Kansas City abortion mill last year. However, the state of Kansas has refused to act or even inspect the state’s remain four abortion clinics where similar conditions are suspected.
This month in Chula Vista, CA, another in a long line of shoddy abortionists with the troubled Clinica Medica Para La Mujer De Hoy abortion chain is being investigated by the Medical Board of California, this time for killing a baby during delivery through negligence. (The baby’s skull was crushed during a forceps delivery, according to sources.) This is at least the fifth abortionist at the Chula Vista facility alone to undergo such an investigation. Four abortionists were stripped of their medical licenses, and one was disciplined and voluntarily left the killing industry. Yet the mill continues to operate.
The story breaking out of Hialeah, Florida, is further testament to myth of the so-called “safe, legal” abortion. Appalling conditions and shocking treatment at our nation’s abortion mills are epidemic, and have created a health crisis in our country that is mostly ignored, sometimes covered up, and rarely confronted.
It is our prayer that the Hialeah investigation will permanently close “A Gynecologists Diagnostic Center” and that those actions will inspire other states to take similar actions.
It is long past time for Americans to come out of denial about abortion and face the true state of crisis that exists at the nation’s abortion mills. The public must come to understand that shoddy conditions and shoddier abortionists are the rule and not the exception. The only way to stop the human misery inflicted on society by abortion and its aftermath is to stop it now. We at Operation Rescue are working hard to make sure that day soon becomes a reality.

HURRAY! A SETBACK FOR THE HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA!

The state Assembly on Monday gutted a bill that would have required California textbooks to include the historical contributions of gay people, amending it to say only that school material should not be discriminatory toward gays. { why? Some discrimination of these people is just! They shouldn't be parents, teachers, priests etc. or anything to do involving children for that matter }.

Openly gay state Sen. Sheila Kuehl, the author of a bill that would have required California textbooks to include the historical contributions of gay people { Oh, She wouldn't want that if the books were to be truthful, the homosexual community has done more to destroy all that is good and holy than any other group. While the Taliban destroys the body, These people go after body and soul with their agenda of worldwide acceptance of their dirty, immoral behavior. }, amended it to avoid a veto by Gov. Schwarzenneger.
Lawmakers voted 56-2 to delete the provision at the request of the bill's author, Sen. Sheila Kuehl (D-Santa Monica), who had feared a gubernatorial veto.
Her bill instead would prohibit any negative portrayal of gays in textbooks and other instructional material, expanding current anti-discrimination laws that apply to minorities.
{ Why? Do history books prohibit any negative portrayals of heterosexuals? NO! } Homosexuals shouldn't be getting preferential treatment.

Movie/Television/Rap Star Nick Cannon Shoots Pro-Life Music Video

HOLLYWOOD, CA, June 10, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Nick Cannon, an accomplished actor, comedian, songwriter and producer with a host of credentials to his name at the age of twenty-four, including his own television show, has released his debut solo album. The album marks Cannon's first all-out effort to cross from the film-making/television industry into the music industry, although he has been involved in the music scene for years, working closely with the likes of Will Smith.
The feature song entitled "Can I Live", on the album by the same name, is being praised by advocates of the culture of life for its powerfully pro-life statement. Cannon recently released the music video for the song, which is available for free online. The video, skillfully directed by Cannon himself, beautifully dramatizes the torment and the uncertainty as Cannon's own mother arrives at a "Women's Health Clinic" (abortuary) in the late seventies with the obvious intention of ending the life of her child. Cannon himself appears in the video clad in white, symbolically portraying the person of the as-yet unborn child, and giving voice to his own implicit right and desire to live.
Throughout the video he tries to connect with his unheeding mother and to plead his own case, at one point crying out to her "300 Dollars that's the price of living what? / Mommy I don't like this clinic / hopefully you'll make the right decision / and don't go though with the Knife Decision." In the second to last scene Cannon's mother rises from the operating table as her unborn son's silent arguments penetrate and she runs from the clinic into the sunshine. There she is greeted by several dozen children singing the chorus and wearing T-shirts with the words "Can I Live" printed on them.
The video closes with Cannon hugging his present-day mother saying "I am just telling ya'll my story/ I love my life / I love my mother for giving me life / We all need to appreciate life/ A strong women that had to make a sacrifice / Thanks for listening… / Mama thanks for listening."
Cannon has received a slew of support from his fans on the message board of his official fan page, with many confessing that they wept the first time they viewed the video. One woman recounted how his video confirmed her in her last minute decision not to have an abortion.
Most remarkable of all is the message Cannon himself posted on the message board which runs as follows:
"This record is extremely important to me and to our community. There are a lot of young mothers in need and have had to struggle to raise their children. I just wanted to recognize all the strong women who are raising children on their own like my mother had to do. Myself and my foundation really want to help these young women. If any of you out there know a single mother between the ages of 15-25 who may be having a difficult time I would love to hear the story. Please write to me and explain the condition and how I could possibly help. I will check the website and respond accordingly."

Taliban Shane strongly recommends "The Island"

Surprise, surprise. In the midst of the current controversy in Congress about whether to maintain President Bush's principle that it is unethical to create human life for the purpose of destroying it, Hollywood released a big-budget pro-life movie.
The movie, called "The Island," is an expensive sci-fi action thriller that reportedly cost about $120 million. Its powerful message against creating human life in a laboratory came through loud and clear despite the ingenious and noisy special effects.
"The Island" tells the story of a government-funded billion-dollar laboratory hidden in the Arizona desert in 2019 where scientists do cloning on a mass scale. They sell $5 million "insurance policies" to rich people who want to live forever by buying replacement body parts.
The scientists agree to follow ethical guidelines in their cloning, and falsely tell their customers that the clones are in a "vegetative state" unable to know or feel anything. But the scientists get better results by violating the guidelines and so they go to extraordinary lengths to keep secret the very existence of their adult clones as well as the whole operation.
Hundreds of clones are quarantined and kept obedient in a totally regulated underground compound by telling them that the entire United States is contaminated by a worldwide environmental catastrophe and that anyone who ventures outside will die. The clones are deliberately educated only to a 15-year-old mental level and, for entertainment, are allowed to read Dick and Jane primers.
(Dick and Jane books were written for 6-to-8-year-olds. Was this a side commentary that kids are now so illiterate that 15-year-olds are able to read only at an elementary school level?)
The scientists conduct lotteries in which the winner is told he wins release to an uncontaminated island paradise. In fact, the winner is taken to be killed after his body parts are surgically removed for sale.
The lab chief tries to justify his enterprise by claiming to seek a cure for leukemia, but that's bogus; killing has become his daily business. It is far more profitable to manufacture humans, harvest and sell their body parts, and then kill the clones.
Like the old westerns where the good guys wear white hats and the bad guys wear black hats, "The Island" conveniently clothes the good guys (the clones) in all white and the bad guys (the scientists) in all black. The scientists are Dr. Frankenstein villains.
The movie teaches the lesson that scientists allowed to engage in what is called therapeutic cloning cannot be trusted to stick to ethical procedures. As the movie's top scientist says, they think they have discovered the Holy Grail of Science and can play God with life, so they just create and destroy human life like laboratory products.
When the top scientist feels threatened because one clone unexpectedly develops human curiosity about what is going on, the scientist hires a professional hit man. When he discovers that human lives are being created and destroyed with no likelihood of saving anyone, even the hit man can't take it any more and refuses to do any more killing for the lab.
In April 2002, President Bush warned that cloning will lead to experimental human beings, "embryo farms," and "a society in which human beings are grown for spare body parts and children are engineered to custom specifications." "The Island" dramatizes the truth of his prediction.
Director Michael Bay denies that "The Island" has a message, but he admits that the movie will "open discussion," and he poses this question: "Would you be selfish enough to take someone's life to live longer?"
Indeed, that question exposes the evil behind cloning, which is an essential step in the proposed embryonic stem cell therapies. Cloning involves the creation and destruction of innocent human life for utilitarian and very selfish purposes.
It defies all we know about human nature to believe that if embryonic stem cell research were allowed and financed, it would never be used for unethical purposes. We couldn't enforce such a prohibition even if we stationed a policeman in every laboratory.
It also doesn't make sense to proceed with experimentation on human life without first demonstrating success on animals.
The public is smarter than the politicians who appear to be bamboozled by amoral scientists, universities greedy for more billions of taxpayers' money, and profit-motivated enterprises that want the taxpayers to finance their research and development costs.
Last year's most critically acclaimed movie was "Million Dollar Baby," advertised as a boxing movie. When the word got out that it was a pro-euthanasia-propaganda movie, it did poorly at the box office.
Let's hope that "The Island" will show Senator Bill Frist what's down the road he has started to travel, financed with the people's money. It's a future that Americans must reject before it's too late; 2019 isn't all that far off.

WHAT really IS ANTI-SEMITISM?

Father Fahey, the great apostle of Catholic Social Doctrine, wrote this brief, but excellent expose on the question of what the Catholic Church defines as anti-Semitism. Even more so then when it was written in 1950, such a clear distinction is needed today.
On account of the confusion of mind prevalent amongst Catholics concerning the question of Anti-Semitism, a few words must be said about it.
In the excellent review of my book The Kingship of Christ and Organized Naturalism which appeared in the Jesuit magazine, La Civilta Cattolica (Rome, March 1947), the reviewer laid special stress on the distinction which I have been making in all books. He wrote as follows:
"The author wants a clear distinction to be made between hatred of the Jewish nation, which is Anti-Semitism, and opposition to the Jewish and Masonic naturalism. This opposition on the part of Catholics must be mainly positive by acknowledging, not only individually, but socially, the rights of the supernatural Kingship of Christ and His Church, and by striving politically to get these rights acknowledged by States and public life. For this indispensable undertaking… the active and effective union of Catholics… is absolutely necessary."
Space does not allow of lengthy quotations from papal documents to show that, on the one hand, the sovereign pontiffs insist that Catholics must stand unflinchingly for the integral rights of Christ the King as contained in the papal encyclicals, while, on the other hand, keeping their minds and hearts free from hatred of Our Lord’s own nation according to the flesh. On the other hand, they must battle for the rights of Christ the King and the supernatural organization of society as laid down in the encyclical Quas Primas, unequivocally proclaiming that the rejection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the True Messias, by His own nation, and the unyielding opposition of that nation to Him, are a fundamental source of disorder and conflict in the world. On the other hand, as members of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Catholic should neither hate the members of that nation in which, through our Blessed Mother, the Lily of Israel, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity assumed human nature, nor deny them their legitimate rights as persons. The supernatural elevation of mind and heart and the unshrinking fortitude that are required from members of Christ in our day can be maintained only with the aid of Him who wept over Jerusalem’s rejection of order. It will inevitably mean suffering for Christ’s faithful members as the power of the anti-supernatural forces in the world increases. Even in the midst of their suffering, however, Christ’s members must bear in mind that there will be glorious triumph for Christ the King.
Two reasons can be assigned for the fact that Our Lord’s faithful members will often be betrayed by those who should be on the side of Christ the King.
Firstly, many Catholic writers speak of papal condemnations of Anti-Semitism without explaining the meaning of the term and never even allude to the documents which insist on the rights of Our Divine Lord, Head of the Mystical Body, Priest and King. Thus, very many are completely ignorant of the duty incumbent on all Catholics of standing positively for Our Lord’s reign in society in opposition to the Jewish naturalism. The result is that numbers of Catholics are so ignorant of Catholic doctrine that they hurl the accusation of Anti-Semitism against those who are battling for the rights of Christ the King thus effectively aiding the enemies of Our Divine Lord.
Secondly, many Catholic writers copy unquestioningly what they read in the naturalistic or anti-supernatural Press and do not distinguish between Anti-Semitism in the correct Catholic sense as explained above, and "Anti-Semitism," as the Jews understand it. For the Jews, "Anti-Semitism" is anything that is in opposition to the naturalistic Messanic domination of their nation over all the others. Quite logically, the leaders of the Jewish nation hold that to stand for the Rights of Christ the King is to be "Anti-Semitic." The term "Anti-Semitism," with all its war-connotation in the minds of the unthinking, is being extended to include any form of opposition to the Jewish nation’s naturalistic aims and any exposure of the methods they adopt to achieve these aims.
At the beatification of Joan of Arc (December 13, 1908), the saintly Pope Pius X said:
"In our time more than ever before, the greatest asset of those disposed toward evil is the cowardice and weakness of good men, and all the vigor of Satan’s reign is due to the easygoing weakness of Catholics. Oh! if I might ask the Divine Redeemer, as the Prophet Zachary did in spirit (Zach. 13:6a): ‘What are those wounds in the midst of Thy hands?’ The answer would not be doubtful: ‘… With these I was wounded in the house of them that loved me’ (Zach. 13:6b). I was wounded by my friends, who did nothing to defend me, and who, on every occasion, made themselves the accomplices of my adversaries. And this reproach can be leveled at the weak and timid Catholic of all countries."

LONDON (Reuters) - Hundreds of Britons are being urged to attend what is being branded as Europe's first "Masturbate-a-thon", a leading reproductive healthcare charity said on Friday.
Marie Stopes International, which is hosting the event with
charity the Terrence Higgins Trust, said it expected up to 200 people to attend the sponsored masturbation session in Clerkenwell, central London, on Saturday.
"It is a bit of a publicity stunt but we hope it will raise awareness," a Marie Stopes spokeswoman told Reuters.
"We want to get people talking about safer sex, masturbation and to lift taboos."
Participants, who have to be over 18, can bring any aids they need and can take part in four different rooms -- a comfort area, a mixed area, along with men and women only areas.
However, the rules on the event's Web site states there can be no touching of other participants nor are people allowed to fake orgasms.
"The amount you raise will be determined by how many minutes you masturbate and/or how many orgasms you achieve," the Web site said.
The Marie Stopes spokeswoman said local religious groups had been initially outraged, but after people had heard what the event was about, most had approved it.
Police had also given it their approval.
Similar events have been staged in San Francisco for the last six years raising $25,000 (13,000 pounds) for women's health initiatives and HIV prevention. If successful, Marie Stopes said it could take place elsewhere in mainland Europe next year.

ROME - Madonna’s plans to crucify herself on a mirrored cross during a Sunday concert have drawn fire from religious leaders.
The 47-year-old pop diva wears a crown of thorns and sings while hanging from a cross on her “Confessions” world tour.
The prospect of the scene being repeated at the concert in Rome’s Olympic stadium, some two miles from the Vatican, prompted Catholic officials to denounce the act as a publicity stunt in bad taste.

“To crucify yourself in the city of the pope and the martyrs is an act of open hostility,” Cardinal Ersilio Tonini was quoted as saying in the La Stampa daily Wednesday. “It’s a scandal created on purpose by astute merchants to attract publicity.”
Muslim and Jewish leaders also criticized the concert stunt.
“It’s not the first time Madonna stages such an act. We deplore it, we feel it is an act of bad taste,” said Mario Scialoja, president of the Muslim World League in Italy.
“We express solidarity with the Catholic world,” said Riccardo Pacifici, spokesman for Rome’s Jewish community. “It’s a disrespectful act, and to do it in Rome is even worse.”
A phone message left for Madonna’s New York-based spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, wasn’t immediately returned Thursday.

CLEVELAND (AP) -- A man accused of sexually assaulting nine boys with physical or mental disabilities told a judge that having sex with children is a sacred ritual protected by civil rights laws.
Phillip Distasio, who said he is the leader of a church called Arcadian Fields Ministries, represented himself at his pretrial hearing Wednesday. He is charged with 74 counts including rape, pandering obscenity to minors and corrupting another with drugs.
''I'm a pedophile. I've been a pedophile for 20 years,'' he said in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Wednesday. ''The only reason I'm charged with rape is that no one believes a child can consent to sex. The role of my ministry is to get these cases out of the courtrooms.''
Distasio said some of his congregants are among the victims in this case. Distacio, of Rocky River, is accused of molesting two disabled boys he tutored at his home and raping seven autistic boys at a Cleveland school for special-needs students where he was a teacher's aide. All but one of the victims were under 13.
A conviction on rape counts involving any of the eight younger boys would mean an automatic sentence of life in prison without parole eligibility, prosecutors said.
Distasio tried unsuccessfully in June to fire his court-appointed lawyer because he wouldn't pursue a religious freedom defense. Distasio could represent himself if the attorney remained as an adviser, Judge Kathleen Sutula said.
Rocky River is 9 miles west of Cleveland.
